Lovely little place, nice and clean room, amazing shower, friendly staff, great beach location, plenty of restaurants nearby. Don't judge a book by its ugly high-rise facade!
Oh, parking is such a joy! Complicated and metered, but who needs it when there's a cheap bus service and taxis, right?

location and huge balcony terrace with beautiful sea views
Very thin walls, could hear everything in the next rooms and down the hallway.

the location right in front of the beach (stony, not sandy), the good price, the size of the bedroom, the bedroom with sea-view terrace, the internet access in the reception.
the old-fashion decoration. The cot for our baby was nicely landed and prepared but it was old (no recent standards).

This hotel is in a great location, very close to the local beach. the rooms are nice and clean, with an amazing shower in the bathroom. the staff is friendly and accommodating, and they even offer breakfast for a very reasonable price. the view from the balcony is gorgeous, and the bed is big and comfy. this hotel offers everything you could wish for in a small hotel.
The pillows provided were uncomfortable and could be improved.

We only stayed one night at the Hostel Velilla and have booked for another three night stay in July. The hostel is very well presented and clean and the outlook over the beach to the sea was beautiful. Ideally located for all amenities and the beach.

Lovely, clean rooms, better with balconys. Right by the beach, but a 20 minute walk from Almunacar centre. We preferred this area as it was a smaller town with some lovely restaurants especiallly ''The Strand'' amazing pasta and pizza and great value salads. The beach is nice but rocky.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the cleanliness was mind-blowing, and the location was perfect for beach access. Plus, the rooms had plenty of wardrobe space, and the breakfast was an absolute bargain.

This is a great value hostal in a fantastic location across the road from the beach. The staff are very friendly and they spoke enough English for us to be able to communicate. It was spotlessly clean and we had a room with a very large balcony overlooking the beach. There are enough shops and restaurants nearby to cater for all our needs. A lovely quiet location that we didn't want to leave. Comfortable but not luxurious facilities.

The view of the sea from the balcony and the lady on the front desk.
It was difficult to find as the sign was hidden in amongst trees.
